As of March 2026, the $350 million settlement for the massive 2021 T-Mobile data breach has reached its “Final Call” phase. While the majority of the 76 million affected customers have already received their payments, the Settlement Administrator has issued a critical deadline for those with uncashed or failed checks.
If you were part of the class action but haven’t seen your money yet, you have until March 31, 2026, to request a reissue of your payment. This applies to both the alternative cash payments and the larger reimbursements for out-of-pocket losses.
The March 31, 2026 Deadline
The official settlement website, managed by Kroll Settlement Administration, has confirmed that all initial distributions were completed by late 2025. However, thousands of digital payments (Zelle, PayPal) and physical checks were returned or expired.
- What to do: If you filed a valid claim before the 2023 deadline but never received funds, you must contact the administrator at 1-833-512-2314 before the end of this month.
- The “Second Chance” Email: Many users received a notification from noreply@digitaldisbursements.com in late 2025. If you missed this, March 2026 is your last opportunity to update your payment info.
Payout Amounts: Who Got What?
The 2026 payouts were structured based on your location and the extent of your data exposure:
- California Residents: Eligible for a higher alternative payment of $100 due to state privacy laws (CCPA).
- Non-California Residents: Received an average alternative payment of $25.
- Extraordinary Losses: Claimants who proved identity theft or financial fraud resulting from the breach received up to $25,000.
New 2026 Developments: The $60M FCC Penalty
In a separate action concluded in late 2024 and impacting 2026 operations, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) fined T-Mobile an additional $60 million. This was not a direct consumer payout but a penalty for failing to secure systems even after the initial breach. This federal pressure has forced T-Mobile to offer Identity Defense Services through 2026 for all affected members.
How to Verify Your Eligibility
Although the deadline to file new claims passed in 2023, you can still verify if you are a “Settlement Class Member” to activate your free identity theft protection:
- Check Your ID: Look for your unique Class Member ID on the original notice sent to your email or mail.
- Enroll in Pango: All class members are entitled to two years of free credit monitoring. If you haven’t activated this, the 2026 portal is still open for enrollment.
- Contact Support: Use the official portal at t-mobilesettlement.com for all inquiries.
